Easy-care Philodendron - 2 Plants

Easy-care Philodendron - 2 Plants

Description

"Heart-leaf" Philodendron is probably one of the easiest house plants to grow. Place them nearly anywhere (except direct sun) and they will thrive. Allow the soil to dry about one inch from the surface before watering. Feed monthly with a balanced plant food. If your plant becomes leggy... just cut it back to the desired size. The cuttings are easily rooted in a container of water or vermiculite. Native to: Southern Brazil Growth habit: A trailing or climbing plant. When grown unsupported usually not over 12" in height. Vines can reach over 6 foot in length.

Proper name: Philodendron cordatum

Grows almost anywhere in the house, except full sun

Keep soil evenly moist, but not wet or dry

Great in a hanging pot

Do you pot these in soil or do you suspend them in water?
I planted mine in soil, they are doing great! Hope this helps.

Can I grow this in a pot of water? I want something for my beta fish to swim around
I would think yes. The ones I ordered I put in a pot and both are growing great. Am going to take some cuttings and put them in water soon. I have never had any problems with philodendrons thriving in water. Go for it!

Do these have to be re-potted? Or can you keep growing them in the pots they arrive in? Will they grow to a decent length that way?
I always repot to a pot at least triple the size it comes in so that it can grow to their full potential. Repotting is part of caring for your plant

Hi this is jade jade green devil's ivy?
