Now let's address some frequently asked questions:

Question: Is it waterproof?

Answer: Here's what you need to know. Waterproof and water resistant are not the same. Waterproof means that water will not penetrate through the surface. This umbrella IS NOT waterproof. Water resistant means that water can penetrate through the surface, but as long as it's not allowed to pool up on the surface, it will generally not go through. This umbrella IS water resistant. And being the nature of its existence, an umbrella, and how an umbrella is designed to allow the water to run-off the edges, you should have no problem staying dry underneath it while it is raining. I do it all the time. But like another user commented, don't expect perfection. If it's a monsoon out and the rain is coming down in buckets or at like a 45-degree angle, you will get wet and probably deserve to if you are foolish enough to be outside when the conditions are that bad.

Question: We have sudden gusty winds, the ad says it's durable but is it sufficiently vented to allow for wind gusts?

Answer: I have one I ordered in May 2014, and it has held up to some very gusty winds, although we try to close it when it's windy, we sometimes forget. The umbrella has cutouts at the top to allow the breeze to flow through without blowing over as long as it is stabilized at the bottom. Hope this helps!

Question: Is the stand included? I received it today, but, there is no stand. I was under the impression that it came with it.

Answer: The one I purchased did not come with a stand. I don't know if Castlecreek has one that they sell with a stand. Just a tip that I got from another buyer, I used a half cinder block, put a piece of sprinkler pipe in it, and use that as my stand. However, mine is on dirt, not a hard surface, and I set it down in the ground a little. Much cheaper than a stand if you're able to do something like that.

Question: Is khaki tan?

Answer: It is tan.
